One tooth down, three to go

After years of putting it off, I finally had one of my impacted teeth extracted this day. I was just too scared to have it removed and my experience today would hopefully make the next extractions done on time.

Jill had already had two impactions and she told me that it was really painful. I used more delaying tactics after hearing that but since school is approaching I really had to start already. I kept on praying that the anesthesia would work (Jill says it did not fully work on her - I stopped drinking for a long time in preparation). I prayed that the pain would be minimal and tolerable. God granted my prayers. The most painful part was the injection of the anesthetic but after that everything was tolerable or I just felt what they were doing to my tooth and not the pain. It took some time because my case is difficult (and the left lower tooth would be more difficult!).

The hard thing was the post-operative pain. It's almost gone now but I hope my mouth heals soon. I want to eat and it's just too hard to do that right now. I also wish the puffiness would subside as that look does not suit my face.

Here's to hoping I get the next one soon and that it'll be as painless or even less so than the first one!
